I always choose W/Mo for my prof. I have completed all 3 expansions and have 7 maxed titles yet the proffession is still the best. I like using healing hands, word of healing and orison and healing. Ofen i stand in the back line with a healing staff healing the party if we have a dumb pug or if the monks are under big pressure. Anyways damage + healing make the party invincible, ftw.

i think it had to do with the other options for a 2nd class in prophecies.
what were your first few skills in the game?
ele [flare][fire storm]
necro [animate bone horror][vampiric touch]
ranger [charm animal][power shot]
mesmer [conjure phantasm][ether feast]
monk [orison of healing][bane signet]
honestly, i would take the monk. self heal + smiting for not too much energy
once it caught on that mending was awesome to kill charr with, word spread to go w/mo. since then, its just been "the way its always been".
same reason people like the same build for elite areas. its tried, proven, and people know it.

Heh, I ran into this guy in AB last night. Not only hilarious, but very ineffective. People were running at him at any chance.

Someone's been reading this and got the wrong idea methinks.
A Wammo with a staff is not cool. Remember that runite.

i chose warrior/monk for the great Heal to dmg balance
w/mo is probly easiest way to play warrior for newbies
common way for w/mo to balance out heal/dmg is
Healing sig +3-5attack skills 1res then :{ELITE}: Healing Hands
with around 8healing 9str 9tactics and rest in axe/sword/hammer
or somethin like that

Well whats the alternative to being W/Mo? That would seem like the best combo to me. What other secondary profession would be useful to warriors? Mesmers wont work, elementalists require a lot of mana... what would be a better combination?

Elementalists have Shock, Grasping Earth, Conjures.
Paragons have Enduring Harmony.
Monks have Mending Touch.
Ritualists have Sight Beyond Sight and Death Pact Signet.
Mesmers have...Power Spike?
Rangers have...D-Shot and Antidote Signet?
Necromancer has Plague Touch.
Assassin has Dash.
Dervish has Rending Touch.
Take your pick.

I'll take Dervish so I can AoE [Power Attack] for $1500.

I think I would go with the Monk's mending touch. Everything else doesn't seem as useful as healing.

Since when is it a wars job to heal?
Anything that causes DAMAGE is usefull for a war, destroying your foe is your only goal. Leave the healing to monk/rits/paragons/dervish...
Think about it this way...if you see a realy big ugly guy(or a hot babe for that matter ) charging at you with a very nasty looking axe is the first thought in your head.."Gee I wonder if he(she) has condition removal and self healing?" or "OMG he's about to [Eviscerate] ME!! HELP!"

So you're saying W/E would be a better choice? What would be a better alternative? You still haven't answered my question.
